Invest Your Time

As a fresh graduate, we are often told that we should invest our money for the future. We should start as soon as possible, because we are still single and we don’t have a big spending every month. Many people may find it hard to do for some reason. Some of us argue that their salary are small, and some other just cannot control their spending. Some of the “lucky” people who can invest their money think that it is enough just to invest in stock, mutual fund, gold, forex, etc. For me, it doesn’t enough to make us rich. :p

I belong to the “lucky” people who can save my money for investment. Howefer, I feel that just investing my money is not enough for me. I think we should invest our time to develop ourself, and for me, it is harder to do than investing my money.

Investing our time is harder because we have the same amount of time. It is very limited and we should manage it to get the maximum result. We can invest our time by using it to learn something new, read many books, enroll an online course, and many more. I found it hard to do and I need an extra effort to strength my will to do it. Mostly because I prefer to use my time for relax or play a game. I haven’t found the best way to motivate me. If you have some suggestion, please contact me! I would be more than happy to know it. 😉

Right now, my approach is I will use my commute time to read a book or to watch an online course in Coursera. Or maybe write a blog to improve my english and story telling skill (this post was written in the bus :p). This is the best hack that I can do with my time, but I will keep finding a way to increase my time investment. I believe that we will get a better result by investing in ourself. If we become a better person, the probability is high that we will get a promotion, right? 😀
